RECURRING VISIONS

July 19 - August 16, 2025

Recurring Visions is an exhibition shaped by the emotional persistence of memory—how certain places, objects, and moments remain with us, quietly influencing who we are long after they’ve passed. This exhibition was drawn from the idea that we all carry with us traces of where we've been: a childhood home, a street corner filled with stories, an heirloom passed from one generation to another. These are not just fragments of the past—they are active, enduring presences in our lives.

With this in mind, 16 artists were invited to reflect on the physical and emotional landscapes that have shaped them. The prompt was intimate and open: What spaces, objects, or moments do you keep returning to in your memory? How have they influenced your identity, your sense of self, your art? The result is a collection of deeply personal works.

Daniel Aligaen captures the uneasy beauty of venturing beyond comfort and into transformation. Charlotte Lamy presents delicate meditations on identity through memory-infused imagery—a woman adorned with past experiences, and a landscape built from scent and softness. Zoe Mapa delves into the realm of childhood memories, capturing the essence of a cherished dollhouse that once held the key to a world of imagination. Gerard Mahalel merges vivid color, found objects, and spiritual themes to express his own evolution through struggle, healing, and hope.

Each work in Recurring Visions reveals memory not just as something we recall, but as something we continue to live with—something that shapes the way we feel, connect, and create.

This exhibition is not simply a look backward, but a reflection on how the past is carried forward—alive in our gestures, our choices, and the art we make.
